Athenian Academy spent it’s first 14 years in the city of Dunedin before taking acquisition of this property at 2289 N. Hercules Ave. which has just under 5 acres. Athenian Academy built a 30,000 sq.ft. 2 story building next to an 9800 sq ft. existing building. The school is now ready to open the 2015-2016 school year on Aug 24th. George and Lemonia Poumakis, who are the founders of the school were present to cut the ribbon to this brand new facility. Alex Veloudos, the Business manager of the school was involved in oversight of this endeavor along with School Leader Kathy Hershelman and Assist.
